Monarch Detailing (“Monarch”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides mobile vehicle detailing and related services across the Gold Coast. We aim to handle personal information transparently and, where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles apply, in accordance with those requirements.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you contact or book with us, we may collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and preferred contact method;
- your suburb, service address and access or scheduling information;
- vehicle details, service interests, condition notes and photographs you choose to send;
- enquiry, quote, appointment, service, invoice and payment-status records;
- messages, feedback and reviews you send to us; and
- technical and marketing information such as device/browser type, approximate location, pages viewed, interactions, referring site and advertising identifiers such as UTM parameters, Google click identifiers or Meta click identifiers.
Please do not send sensitive personal information or images containing information that is unnecessary for us to assess or deliver the requested service.
2. How we collect information
We collect information directly when you use our Quick Enquiry, complete our Jobber request form, call, email, text or message us, send vehicle photographs, book a service, pay an invoice, leave feedback or interact with our advertising. We may also receive enquiry and campaign information from platforms you use to contact us, including Google, Facebook and Instagram.
Our website and advertising tools may collect technical information through cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. These tools help us understand website performance, prevent abuse, measure advertising and improve the customer journey.
3. Why we use information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and recommend an appropriate service;
- prepare quotes, schedule and deliver appointments, process payments and provide aftercare;
- send booking confirmations, reminders and service communications;
- maintain business, accounting, safety and service-quality records;
- improve our website, services, advertising and customer support;
- detect misuse, secure our systems and resolve disputes; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, insurance and tax obligations.
4. Service providers and disclosure
We use specialist providers to operate the business. Depending on the interaction, these may include WordPress and GoDaddy for website hosting, Jobber for enquiries and service management, Google for Tag Manager, Analytics and advertising, Meta for Facebook and Instagram, Microsoft Clarity for website experience analysis, and providers for email, messaging, payments, accounting, security and file storage.
We disclose only the information reasonably needed for those providers to perform their services, or when disclosure is required or authorised by law. Some providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy terms and the arrangements we have with them.
We do not sell or rent customer contact details.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Analytics and advertising tools can help us measure page visits, calls, enquiry completions, booking starts and campaign performance. A website event or button click does not by itself mean a job was booked or paid. We aim to avoid sending names, phone numbers, email addresses or free-text enquiry details to analytics and advertising platforms.
You can restrict cookies through your browser and, when website privacy controls are available, review your choices through the footer. Blocking some technologies may reduce measurement or affect parts of the website.
6. Direct marketing
We may contact you about your enquiry, booking or an appropriate follow-up. Where permitted, we may also send relevant offers or service reminders. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting us. Service and transaction messages may still be sent when needed to manage an active enquiry or appointment.
7. Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet or storage system is completely secure.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including customer service, warranties, dispute resolution, accounting, tax, insurance and legal obligations. We then delete, de-identify or securely dispose of it where practicable.
8. Access, correction and privacy concerns
You may ask what personal information we hold about you or request a correction. You may also raise a privacy concern or ask us to consider deleting information, subject to any legal and legitimate business recordkeeping requirements. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Contact Monarch at info@monarchdetailing.com.au or 0403 836 258. Please describe the request or concern and provide a way for us to respond. We will review it and reply within a reasonable period.
9. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers, technology or legal obligations change. The current version and update date will remain available at this address.
